Social Justice Kids
The Social Justice Kids curriculum (SJK) is a 13-week program designed for K-6 elementary students. Incorporating interactive read-aloud picture books and arts practice with social justice related vocabulary and concepts, this curriculum gives students a way to build understanding of identity, empathy, power and action.
Vacation Bible School Curriculum
SRS3 has partnered with Edmonds United Methodist Church to create multimodal learning around how Christian faith must root itself in anti-racist, anti-oppressive action. Our 2018 curriculum, The Power of Inclusion, uses multiple perspectives from the story of Jonah to illustrate the call to social justice action. Who is My Neighbor, in 2019, asks participants to learn to love like Jesus by working for justice. And our “virtual VBS” designed for at-home learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, CommUNITY Allies, builds a multigenerational learning experience emphasizing connection (even while apart) and youth activism.
