Suburbia Rising/Stories of Self & Solidarity (SRS3) was founded in 2017 as an educational resource for progressive people in suburban and rural areas looking to bring passion, awareness and real change to their neighborhoods.

Activism might seem like an urban, big city thing, where scrappy young radicals literally take to the streets with vocal masses–but injustice and inequity crosses every boundary and truly affects us all–so we need informed, thoughtful activists organizing in every neighborhood, working to eradicate systemic oppression and build a broad coalition for a better tomorrow. Storytelling is imaginative, collaborative, and bridge-building—world-changing at its core. We use traditional stories and personal narratives to create cross-cultural dialogue and educational opportunities—almost always free and open to the public!
